BEAWARE

: If You Are Planning To Buy new 4K HDR TV Set Stay Away from LG even the premium Nano Cell Ones

See LGs Fake 4K in Led TVs in 2016 line and upper line nano cell in 2017 (JS 8500) - they use RGBW Subpixels ~ 3 K not 4K ( precisely 2.8 K) and they market it as Native 4K

LG 2016 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV core series using panels with RGBW technology include: the UH6100, UH6500, UH6500 and UH7100.

LG 2017 4K Ultra HD LED LCD TV models using panels with RGBW technology include:

SJ8000 Series: (minimal design metal frame, 4K IPS, Nano Cell tech, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG)
55SJ8000, 60SJ8000, 65SJ8000

UJ7700 Series: (minimal design metal frame, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG)

49UJ7700, 55UJ7700, 60UJ7700, 65UJ7700

UJ6600 Series: (metal frame, Active HDR/HDR effect)
70UJ6600, 75UJ6600

UJ6300 Series: (Active HDR/HDR effect, webOS)

43UJ6300, 49UJ6300, 55UJ6300, 60UJ6300, 65UJ6300

UHD needs 3840 full pixels, but LG RGBW has only 3840*3/4 = 2880 full pixels. It is not UHD in any way. Common sub-pixels are acceptable only in camera matrices, there 1 pixel equals 1 sub-pixel, but pixel has only one from 3 colors in matrix 3 or 4 mosaic RGB or RGBG or sometimes RGBW. wouldn’t be an issue if the technology were advertised as 2.8K, or even—as the industry is wont to do—rounded up and pitched as a 3K. LG OLEDS include a white subpixel in each individual pixel, but in the LCD TVs, they use a white sub-pixel for every 4th sub-pixel in a row. So it doesn't have 4k detail but the correct amount of pixels to say its 3840x2160

OLED is fine.

LG paid all core tech reviewers at youtube to review the SJ 9000 / 8000 and market the nanocell technology ( bitwit , techsource, hardwarecanuks, jayz2cent , linustechtips etcc... ) and they have not mentioned the major pitfall it is not a real 4k tv. Many People follow these reviewers to base their purchase decision and show rooms sales person ( majority) will not disclose about this pitfall (Khoury,, Tahan Rammal )., simply they want to sell.

At the end the customer is the major loser.
Can you give out sources
This is a trick that LG has been using , simply write the term : LGs RGBW TVS and search and read users feedback on Reddit , Avforums , Youtube Channels. It is a well known trick that LG has been using to market a big line of their 2015- 2016 -2017 LEDs Tvs as "native 4k" , and I think in 2018 LG will not stop that . Ironically if you put LG Nano Cell TV like the SJ 8500 on Youtube the majority of known tech reviewers (PC Hardawe enthusiast) , reviewed these TVs without mentioning it is using an RGBW panel , they only concentrated on a the Nano Cell thing (Similar to Quantum Dot of Samsung in 2016 and on).
