Just curious, what was the notice? I'm guessing it was for a rifle/pistol. I was thinking of doing the same and was curious if it would be a problem or not as you can go to any of the accessory stores here and buy them.
I was planning to put it on a shotgun, the notice was a card from Libanpost to show up in their sorting center next to the airport, I went there and the package was inspected by a person from 'General Security' and another person from 'Lebanese Intelligence', I was like what is going on it is just a 20$ Chinese copy lol, they requested an approval from the Ministry of Defense which I did not plan to do so they suggested to ignore the next notices and the package will be sent back to the sender.
BTW you can just buy one from the hunting stores but it is more expensive as you can already guess, no one will ask you anything, they just want to sell.
