Toufic Hi I got myself a new Asus VDSL modem that can also support fiber speeds but with the electricity in lebanon, i don't want it to go out of order anytime soon. I've been searching online where i can buy a mini ups (here is a couple of links that show what i am talking about) https://www.amazon.com/Uninterruptible-Portable-Applications-Protection-%E3%80%90Cetified/dp/B0719GVTNX/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1509202321&sr=1-1&keywords=mini+ups+12v https://www.amazon.com/APC-Back-UPS-Connect-Battery-BGE70/dp/B00KH07WRC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1509202350&sr=1-1&keywords=modem+ups Anyone has any idea where i can find something similar or if there are computer/networking shops where i can order it from ??? Thanks for any feedback

nuclearcat Can't find old one with selectable voltage, but UPS with 12V, some new model - is there http://ekt2.com/EKT/Electronics/Battery_AND_Power/Power_Bank/
beezer If you're worried about a surge, then get a proven surge protector & don't forget one for the phone line. I've done mine up that way since you usually have to restart a modem/router every once in a while, so I would imagine have to do that more so here. I just let the 1min of power switching do it for me :) BTW, for those DC UPS price points you can get a small AC UPS, you'd have more uptime and can connect anything.
