MohZz wroteHello everyone;
I've been having an issue lately with my desktop that it shuts off completely during working/gaming.
Sometimes while working or playing, the PC shuts down completely all of a sudden (as if you pulled it's plug off) but the PSU still has the "Standby" light on and I can't turn the PC back on till I remove the power off the PC and it's gone.
And if I start it right after it shuts off even opening Google Chrome re-shuts it down.
I've been checking the VGA and CPU temperatures and they don't seem to be the problem.
(CPU between 30-50 degrees, and VGA between 35-70 degrees, not optimal but still in the safe zone, right?)
Anyone has any idea what could it be?
Any replies would be appreciated.
(I took it once to where I assembled it at, and as far as they've said they tested the PSU and nothing wrong it seems, but I'm not entirely sure)
My rig's specs are:
Motherboard: MSI Z270 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K - 4.0GHz - LGA 1151
RAM: Kingston HyperX Kit Of (2x16GB) 32GB
VGA: Gigabyte 1080 ti Aorus Xtreme
SSD: Kingston HyperX Savage 960GB SSD - SHSS3B7A/960G (x2)
PSU: Thermaltake XT 1475W Power Supply (Gold Certified)
LCS: Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme S AIO CPU Cooler
Chassie: Thermaltake CHASER A71 Built-in Water Cooling E-ATX Full Tower (The build in LCS is removed and substituted by another for being faulty)
UPS: PCE Backup UPS Max Pro 2500VA - 1200W
Note: I also use 2 monitors
Can you try plugging it straight into the wall? Just to eliminate the fact that it might be the UPS failing.
