We recently purchased a new iPhone 7 from Amhaz and I thought I'd share my experience. Firstly, the packaging was weird, the box looked a little off and the plastic that surrounds it was also different than what I had seen before from Apple. We open the box and the first thing we notice is that the phone is upside down inside compared to the box orientation, which is unheard of. We boot the iPhone and everything is normal, the phone is new, wrapped in plastic and without a single scratch on it. But, after inspecting the Settings, the model number is FN9XX, which means it is refurbished. All iPhones that start with F are refurbished, the retail units all start with M. So, I look at the box, and the IMEI is the same, but the serial number and part number are different than the actual phone. I look closely on the box, and the IMEI seems to be in a different font than the rest of the text on the box. I sit there for 5 minutes and I think I puzzled this whole thing together: they're buying refurbished phones for a fraction of the price, actually MAKING boxes (probably in Lebanon), changing the IMEI on the box but not the other information because they're lazy, and selling them as new phones. I don't know if they're also doing it for other phones, but there is no other explanation to this
For the record, refurbished iPhones are just as good as the new ones, but paying this price for a refurbished phone stings a little. You cannot go a day without being ripped off in this country. So beware!

Sadly, this is true.
I got a Galaxy S7.
Box says it's a 9300 model. Phone settings shows as 930F. Phone backplate shows as 930F but the phone is actually a 930V.
They freakin faked the backplate!!
930F is the international variant while the 930V is for Verizon.
To top it off, it's refurbished.
Do you want more than that?
The box was sealed but the phone had a really visible and kind of big scratch on the metal frame.

No one should ever buy from Amhaz even if it's cheaper.
Shady business and unofficial imports, better encourage other honest shops.

I've never actually grasped the concept..
But what is refurbished exactly? Was it on phone or laptops.

if it's factory refurbished it means someone bought it and returned it. If something was wrong with it they'd fix it and re-package it and if not they just repackage it.

They even smuggle phone in parts and assemble them here.
But anyway, why would you buy an iphone from amhaz? He is not the cheapest around and he doesnt offer warranty! I bought my iphone from carrefour

Can you guys recommend a trustworthy alternative to amhaz with comparable prices (not necessarily cheaper but at least competitive)

I am planning in opening a mobile phones and even laptops shop, the problem is that I am not finding a good place, most of them are too big or badly placed.
I will do special offers for lebgeeks users if I can finalize this project

Carrefour prices are lower than amhaz when it comes to iphones.
They had the iphone 8 for 650 a couple of days ago. They always make offers in iphones

We were looking for a tablet today. The galaxy A tablet is like 100$ more expensive at carrefour than amhaz. (309 vs 215). Any other decent places to look?

Don't forget that all new flasgships are closed shell, meaning you can't repair them anywhere, that's why an official warranty like gomobile is required even if you have to pay 50$ more.
Amhaz warranty is reported as bad, they can open iphones and samsung galaxy but they put non original parts

I would not give a single lira to Amhaz on principle. They're criminals and supporters of terrorism. I'd much rather pay $50 extra (and even get a proper warranty) than support the business of those scumbags.
