  • Getting a New Gaming Monitor - Samsung C27FG70FQM 27

Any one own the new Samsung:

Samsung C24FG70 24" 1ms Curved Quantum dot Gaming Monitor. At PC and Parts it is being sold for USD 375 (Excluding VAT) and USD 485.00 (excluding VAT) for the 27 inch. Both are Quantum Dot (up to 125% of sRGB, VA Panel , 144hz , 1080p Free-Sync Monitor , 1ms Response time but they are not HDR. I think VA (for black uniformity , no Glow and Quantum dot for color reproduction is much better than current TN / IPS Gaming Monitors - as such Asus / Acer will adapt the VA/Quantum dot combination in their upcoming high end gaming monitors)

For a Nice Detailed comparison:

Samsung released also the HG models series which is higher end compared to the FG

Shall I pull the trigger for a 27 inch Samsung C27FG70FQM 27" for USD 533 or wait for the upcoming ROG Asus monitors which will be also VA /Quantum Dot such as the PG 35vq (which is HDR) or the PG27vq , sure they will be more expensive than the Samsung due to G-Sync , HDR on the 35VQ , and higher resolution.

Thank You
1080P is now peasant resolution. Why go with a freesync monitor when you're running an Nvidia graphics card?

Go with a 144Hz (or 165Hz) 2K or 4K IPS with GSync. Having quantum dot technology or not having it should be the least of your concerns. Who cares if quantum dot works if you're gaming on 1080.

Frankly Price is tempting and using DSR on 1080p may help things up , I think quantum dot plays a role in image fidelity. What do you think of the upcoming UQWHD 35vq , 200hz 21:9 , 3440×1440p , hdr , gsync. The upcoming Asus 27uq is 2160p /144hz hdr but it crosses 2000usd.
Are you willing to shed 2500$ if not more for the asus

Your opinion / recommensation mate ?
is the PG27VQ confirmed a VA ? I read somewhere it's a TN panel.
I am also waiting for that to purchase my system.
The screen has 27", 2k, HDR, Gsynch, high refresh-rate, low response time and curved, everything I want in a screen.

I think it is not HDR - sadly , I read that too. Most probably it will be a TN but not confirmed yet.
