Hello everyone,
I tried to look for an answer before posting this but I did not find what I seek,
my question is:
If I root the Huwaei mate 9 would I loose the chetraco warranty?
thank you.
PS:
I want to buy a new phone that will last long ( 3 years plus long)
I had the oneplus one and it is still very good even to this day ( it's been with me for 2 years)
I broke the screen ( twice) and replaced it from Aliexpress,
but I'm in a situation where I cannot wait for two months for a screen to arrive,
and I can't wait for the oneplus 3T to arrive if I want to order it ( I know that it fits my criteria for a long lived phone especially with the 6 gb of ram I think they will keep me running for years ahead )
so I thought that the next best thing in terms of specs and price is the huwaei mate 9 it is within the my budget (max 530$) and has support here in lebanon,
so as an ad hoc question to this topic, do you think the above reasonning and my choice are sound and do you suggest another phone with similar specs( preferably cheaper since;I'm willing to pay the 530 but I'm comfortable with a 450$ phone if it competes with the mate 9 ( the oneplus 3T is and example) )?
Thanks again.

Mate 9 is a great choice , my friend has it and he keeps saying good things about the phone.
As for rooting, use the device for a couple of weeks before rooting and if you notice no problems with it go ahead and do it.
Warranty is kinda useless in Lebanon anyways.
Finally, be careful with that huge screen as a single drop can break the front glass, so get a good cover and screen protector (not the shitty one that comes in the box).

On a side note, check OLX if you want an OP3T; lots of them are up for sale.
I'm sorry I can't help about the mate 9.
