Hello,

I have an old router from (I think ogero, but it might have been sodetel) a technicolor tg582n (you probably know it) It had been sitting in my drawer for around 3+years. I now came up with a use for it but surprise surprise, I don't have the admin password. The really weird part is that I reset it several times (using a small pin to press the reset thingy in the back) and it does turn off and on, the wifi settings reset(I can check that using a user:user pw:user account on the router) But it would not reset the admin password.

I have no data I want to retrieve off it, I just want to be able to use it. Given than the reset does not work. I am open for ideas. Is there some hackish way to make the router reset even harder?

I tried all the admin defaults suggested about this router like admin no pass, no user no pass, administrator user administrator pass etc... (combination of those, new combinations, shots in the dark) nothing worked.

Help.

Edit: things got so desperate to the point that I wrote a small java program that telnets into the router and tries to use patterns known to be used by ogero, specifically the ksd date password. If any of you can give me your previous admin passwords on routers(if you know them) It could help me expand my dictionary)

Try the following combos:
Administrator (notice the capital A)/none
Administrator (notice the capital A)/router serial number
admin/none
admin/router serial number
admin/admin
admin/1234

I already did, I tried every single default that comes to mind.

Not sure how that works, flashing it with a USB? anyway I might try that later.
