Hello,
I'm looking for a place or website other than pcandparts to buy an SSD.
I want to update my MBP 2012 and need an SSD that can be updated with a Mac (because most require Windows).
I also need a Torx T6 screwdriver (seriously Apple).
With all that I would be able to eqsily upgrade the drive.
Awaiting your responses !

SSD doesn't require Windows, duh!

To update the firmware, a lot do.

Macrotronics man (for the SSD), and concerning the MBP, I remember that I upgraded my HDD to an SSD in my MBP 2013 (13") and I used a "normal" screwdriver (I mean by normal the normal ones that you have in your toolkit)
Good Luck.

Hey thanks for your reply !
I ordered a Toshiba OCZ from pcandparts and bought a screwdriver from a shop in Jeitawi.
I hope that I won't have any problem installing it. It seems easy though.

Installation done so one less problem buuut one more.
Erasing the disk in GUID partition map gets stuck to "waiting for partitions to activate".
After seeing some comments online there's a possibility that either the SSD is incompatible or the cables are damaged.
First, I am going to see if I can buy a SATA cable (any suggestion is welcome) to format it through a windows computer (apparently it's easier).
Second, if nothing works I'll have to give it to someone else to find a solution (any trustworthy repair shop for mac?)

An IT who works at Virgin fixed it in a day.
Tha SSD cable was damaged.
