I am thinking of upgrading my pc, the only parts that i keep is the case and an ssd 240gb :), every thing else is old and failing.

Here are the parts that i have in mind from pcandparts.com. I am going to use it only for gaming.
I would be interested in your opinion and if i have missed something.

Also if you could recommend a screen that is less than $200. i have Flatron E2241, but the colors are notoriously bad. and absolute shit screen.

Zotac ZT-P10600B-10M GeForce GTX 1060 AMP! 6GB GDDR5 $289.00

Skylake 3.20 GHz - i5-6500 6M/LGA1151 $197.00

MSI B150M Gaming Pro (DDR4) USB 3.1 w/ DS01 mouse (LGA1151) $88.00

Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-630M 630W PSU $61

G.SKILL NT Series 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15S-8GNT for $57.00

total $760 (including tax)
Hey, here is the list that I suggest, keep in mind that I did not choose the i5 7500 for the reason that there is no budget board that supports it out of the box and the 170/150 boards require a Skylake cpu to post to be able to have the BIOS updated to be able to support Kaby Lake

* Zotac ZT-P10600B-10M GeForce GTX 1060 AMP! 6GB GDDR5 $289.00 (I own it, a beast card)

* Skylake 3.20 GHz - i5-6500 6M/LGA1151 $197.00 (amazing cpu for the job)

* MSI B150M Gaming Pro (DDR4) USB 3.1 w/ DS01 mouse (LGA1151) $88.00 (Built a friend system using it recently, decent board with dual fan headers)

* G.SKILL Aegis 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15S-16GIS for $109.00 (I believe 8GB is too low for today standards, you can fill 8gb with Chrome only, also Aegis are cheaper and look better than NT)

* Thermaltake LTP-550NP Litepower 550W PSU $43.00 (You dont need 630w for your system, I measured the consumption to be 340watt maximum, I know this PSU is not the best but it will work fine and has 2 years warranty)

* 1TB WD10EZEX 7200RPM SATAIII 64MB $49.00 (240GB SSD only is too low for a storage capacity)

Total 852.5$ (including tax)

Yes the number was bigger than the number you posted due to extra RAM and extra Hard Disk, but you did not include the monitor in the total price, so your 760$ could be flexed to 960$ (+200$ monitor), so here is my pick for a monitor:

* LG 22MP48HQ Wide 22" LED LED IPS Full HD (VGA, HDMI) $118.00
I believe you want good nice colors, the IPS display will not disappoint (total cost now is 980$)

Hi anayman_k7,
Thanks for your response, really appreciate it.

I think i will go with what you listed.
Just a couple questions, is there a tradeoff between the screen you listed and others that are slightly more expensive ?
Also is there a keyboard and a large mouse pad that you recommend that aren't too expensive?
Will use it for gaming but might also do some coding on it.

Thanks man

As for a keyboard and a large mouse pad, personally I use the A4Tech Bloody B120 and I like it, so here are some choices sorted by price:

1- Genius Keyboard KB-110X Black USB Water Resistant $12.00
or
Logitech K120 Wired Standard USB Keyboard - Black $12.00
(If you want to save expense and get a normal keyboard basic keyboard)

2- A4Tech Bloody B120 Turbo illuminating Gaming keyboard USB Link $28.00
(The next level is this keyboard, it lights up red, has rubber AWSD buttons that helps in gaming, average clicky-ness and a button to lock the Windows key so you dont press it accidentally)

3- Thermaltake KB-CHM-MBBLUS-01 Challenger Prime Keyboard $34.00 (Aggressive look but has 3 colors mode and a nice wrist rest)

After that they start to get a lot more expensive!

Mousepad I guess this one is good enough:
* A4Tech Bloody B-081 Defense Armor Gaming Mouse Mat Control Large Link $8.00

As for the screen I guess it is your lucky day, the screen you mentioned was listed today on promotion week for 205$!

LG 25UM58 25" UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor
Subscribers Special only
\ For Only $205.00 //

It has a much wider resolution than the one I chose for you which means that you can have 3 to 4 windows of code next to each other! As for gaming this one has in additional to the wider resolution which will give you more field of view options, it also has 75Hz refresh rate (> 60Hz of a basic monitor) and it is also an IPS monitor so colors will look good.
Thanks,
I think will go for that screen :)
I might go with this mat Kingston HX-MPFP-L HyperX FURY Pro Gaming Mouse Pad
http://www.kingston.com/en/hyperx/mouse-pad#mpfp $15.00
Because i didn't like the Large logo on A4Tech Bloody B-081.

and Thermaltake KB-CHM-MBBLUS-01 Challenger Prime Keyboard $34.00.

And this was supposed to be <$900 pc :(
Nice choices, and nothing you are paying now will be a waste, my screen which costed me like 165$ with the same specs of the 110$ screen today is still serving me for around 2.5 years! Same for the keyboard/mousepad
Thanks for the help anayman_k7,

Here are the final items and prices they offered

1X LG 25UM58 25" UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor for $205.00
1X Zotac ZT-P10600B-10M GeForce GTX 1060 AMP! 6GB GDDR5 Super Compact Dual-Fan IceStorm Cooling for $289.00
1X Intel Skylake 3.20 GHz - i5-6500 6M/LGA1151 Boxed CPU for $197.00
1X MSI B150M Gaming Pro (DDR4) USB 3.1 w/ DS01 mouse (LGA1151) for $88.00
1X Thermaltake LTP-550NP Litepower 550W PSU for $43.00
1X G.SKILL Aegis 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15S-16GIS for $109.00

1X Thermaltake KB-CHM-MBBLUS-01 Challenger Prime Keyboard for $34.00

Subtotal of complete systems would be $1029.00
Total with 10% V.A.T. and $22.00 Volumetric shipping to your Tripoli area would be $1156.00USD only.
a month later
Everything is fine with the new system, except occasionally when i boot the computer the monitor says no signal, until i turn off the pc and turn on again.
I wonder what causes this issue, could it be i need to remove the VGA and set it back again ?
This only happens maybe once every 10 days or so, so i am not sure what's the cause.
Does it stay like this even if you wait the usual boot time of the PC? I faced similar issue where the screen won't output unless the PC loads the Windows login screen
yes, but it's kind of weird, if i turn on the screen before booting i immidietly see the bios and works fine, but if i turn it on like 5-10 seconds after i boot the pc sometimes the screen might not get the signal until the windows boot.
it's when it keeps saying no signal, then no matter how long i wait still no signal, until i reboot
It's hard to debug because it's happening like only once after 1 or 2 weeks.
for me it happened few times then it stopped, at first I thought that my screen overclock from 60Hz to 70Hz was the reason so I did revert it back to 60Hz, since then I did not see it, it might be the screen or the PC or or or, but I don't consider it as a problem, next time when it happens just click Delete to enter BIOS and lets see if it will work or not
yes ok, will try entering the bios the next time i don't get any signal.
at first i thought it might be that i haven't placed the vga well enough or something, but then it would probably not have worked in the first place.
also sometime, the screen says "turning of after 5 min due to inactivity, press any button to cancel' or something like that, while i am still using the computer.
Yes this is the protection period, check it in the settings, you can turn it off completely, for me I leave it at 8 hours so I only see it when I'm working home, when it appears I just turn it off and back on and it will reset back to 8 hours
just looking at the settings, it's the 'automatic standby' i presume ?
