hkbazzi wroteElied wrotePersonally as a Porsche owner myself I'd say go for the Cayman no questions asked. If you're looking for a fun car there's no contest. I wouldn't worry about maintenance as much as you think. If you drive it somewhat carefully and don't hit every single pothole in the country then its not that expensive to maintain. Sure every single part is super expensive to replace or fix but you're not taking in consideration how often you need to do it. The price tag comes with premium quality and therefore it rarely ever breaks down on its own. The only real problem I've personally had is with insurance as it is quite expensive a year but nothing too wild if you find a good company with acceptable rates.
I'd definetly recommend it to anyone who can afford it.
Which porsche do you own? How many miles/km u have on it?
I love 911s i drift in them feeling safe and its luxury, head Turner
I personally own a 2006 Cayenne, with about 100 000 km on it. It is also extremely fun but for different tastes, I personally like to explore what roads the car can conquer instead of how fast it does it. However I've test driven a lot of different models of Caymans/911s/Panameras and they're all beautiful machines. If you enjoyed the 911 you'd love the Cayman since it was targeted at a very similar audience to you, people who do not care about the pedigree or all around practicality of 911s but want a car to have as much fun in as possible. Again, if you can afford it, there's no going wrong with Porsche.
Final thing, If you are seriously considering it don't forget to have it thoroughly inspected, usually Lebanese drivers are not kind to their vehicles, if the previous owner has neglected the car then you and your wallet are going to suffer a lot, it is a 10 year old car after all. So just make sure it's in good shape before buying it as they say check that "El siyara ndife". Also never trust the mileage you see in the car as it can be easily tampered with even for Porsches.
Hope this helps!
