What do you guys think about Intel Kaby Lake Processors?
And any info on availability in Lebanon?
For me it would be the graphic card since i'm not a gamer and i'm using the one that comes with the CPU ( it will support HDR for streaming). Performance wise, There is nothing much (clock speed is a little higher than the 6th gen).Changing the MB and CPU for this is not something that you should look for. On the other hand I like the new tech that will make you skip the ram level and that will go directly to your storage (faster than an SSD).it will improve the performance big time. no more data loss. no more volatile data.
I heard that this month we will be receiving the 7th gen mb. still no info regarding the cpu
It all depends on what you own now. If you have an i5/i7 from the 4/6 series, then its not worth the upgrade. Even if you own an i5, just get the i7 of your chipset as the whole mobo/ram swap could cost you $ for similar performance.

If you overclock a lot and use high speed rams and oc them too, then it could be a good upgrade, albeit not logical.

Lebanon availability is usually 2-3 weeks after release date, because we have 1 seller that ships huge quantities, so it will take some time. I will be getting the i7 7700K and will be doing a small review here (been a while since i contributed here much, if at all). But you can check Jayztwocents channel today he posted K skus of i3,i5,i7 kabylake with a few benchies all clocked at 4.7ghz.

Are you going to upgrade the motherboard with the cpu ? or your getting a 7th gen cpu over a 6th gen MB?
I already own a z170, i will not upgrade motherboard or ram. And i am rocking an i3 6100 (though in all honesty this cpu is amazing, i didnt run in any fps issue with any game on 2K res + 980ti).

But i am doing it for the sake of never owning an i7 (had i5s and i3s).

that is a relief for me as a gamer , i own an i5 6500 but i was not sure about how long it will keep up with games .
That moment you have an i7-4790k , and everyone is talking about getting a Kaby lake :( haha

still rocking a 4770

are we that behind? most things still work just fine
@Satfoun, MrClass, & sayedti.

You are not behind, you are already in the front, but some are planning to catch up that is all.
kabby lake is a joke to nr homst. it's just a refreshed skylake. clock for clock there is 0 perf and 0 power improvements.
I have a Sandy bridge, 17-2600, yes you heard me, Sandy bridge!
And I will not upgrade to this kaby Lake.
I will wait for the next gen.
ohh i have an old desktop with a sandy bridge too, 2500 i guess. It is not bad actually

My desktop has i3 6100 + asus z170-a + 16gb ddr 2400 + a 60$ v300 SSD 256.

The weirdest thing is that my 10 years old pc (which I left it at my parent's place after getting married) is still faster than mine:D I forgot the specs.I will check it back later on.What I know for now, is that on both systems I have the same ssd, same OS windows 10 pro 64bit.
Sixth gen motherboards work with the 7th gen cpu because they did not change the cpu socket. For people who own 6 th gen it is probably not worth upgrading, got people with a 4790k it is also not worth upgrading. I am currently still rocking my i5 3570 and I am honestly still very happy with it...Running whatever I want at full HD 60 fps no problem (except in rare cases where I need to turn off shadows)

I'm mainly not buying a new pc because I am not sure if I am staying in Lebanon for the next 2 to 3 years...
Iam currently running the i7 4790k from reviews / benchmarks on Kaby Lake on Anandtech and more tech websites and gaming performance testing on Digital Foundary - I will wait for Canon Lake which is the the 1st 10nm chip , to me starting from an i7 3770k and on no need to upgrade.

I am keeping on Eye on Zen too.
