hey guys
I was hoping you could help me with this situation; lately i was considering changing ISPs ( from Wise to IDM , basically for the unlimited after midnight thingy, as my "to download" list keeps growingbigger )
but should i stop my current subscription to wise and wait 2 MONTHS for the other guys? that's what they told me when i called idm!
isnt there any other workaround ? like applying for IDM without stopping the other (can they know)?
N.B. i posted in "Internet in Lebanon - General Questions" a couple of days ago (but didnt get much replies)
except for silentcontrol (thanks!) , who suggested getting another land line and applying for adsl on the 2nd
line then switching to the 1st one ( or something like that?); any simpler solutions ?
thanks in advance

That or get internet from a local cable guy

Not a lot of really good choices--cable guy will want 50k or so to get you started, but will be cheaper than using 3g/4g. The phone thing is a pain in the ass, and another choice might be to see if anyone has a wise/connect box and see if you can recharge it for a few months. That would probably be the most seamless option.

thank you for the suggestions guys , it looks like im in deep **** ( not that deep a pain in the ass maybe )
and xazbrat how does the wise/connect box thing work exactly?
and do other countries have similar conditions for changing isp-s ?? or we're special as usual ?
Draguen
We're special as usual, if my memory serves me well, it takes about a week to change isp in France.
Regarding the wise box, you just have to place it somewhere where the box has a good wireless connection, plug it to your pc or connect to the box 's wifi and voilĂ , super simple, provided that you have a good reception.

ye thought so, it's one hell of a country we're living in!
and thanks a lot for the help guys, much appreciated

Unless you have a wasta... I switched ISPs in literally one week. It was insane, and we(my family) did not have a wasta, we just mentioned in front of a relative who happened to know a guy and made a mysterious call and the next day the router showed up(granted I was switching to ogero which might have made things easier)
