LATEST EDIT: Geeks, I have narrowed my choice down to 2 laptops after I found this new retailer, again I am gonna use this laptop mainly for work & CS-GO + League of Legends + and if possible Planet Coaster. I put both these laptops aside and only have till tomorrow morning to go pick up one before they are returned to stock. Am I going to see a HUGE difference in performance of games between these laptops?
1) Acer E15-ES575G ($750)

NVIDIA GEFORCE 940MX 2 GB DEDICATED

2) Acer F5-573G ($850)

Well I have an Omen 15, it's good, but I think you can do better.
jad594

my answer is NO NO and NO. take my opinion for granted since i bought HP phonix 4 years ago. even though it is really nice at the beginning. you will see the problems in years to come.
first, HP case is too small as a gaming pc. you can never mount a 240mm liquid cooling in any of there cases in case you want to overclock cpu in future. if you want to put 120mm liquid cooling also you have to remove the main fan leaving the pc without any fan
second, GPU place is really tight for example Zotac amp will not fit, so if you want to upgrade gpu you will face diffuculties.
third. power supply unit is made for this model only. which mean that in future if you want to add a better GPU you might find diificulties. usually they place 500 or 600 w max PSU
fourth, all the expert suggest if you have a boxed pc, and you want to upgrade the gpu to buy a founders edition gpu. which is terrible comparied to another models of the gpu having better performance and much cheaper price. the main cause is the ventilation of the case that hp use doesnt support perfectly they other models while it supports founders edition because it blows heat from behind the pc.
fifth, the motherboard that they use is somewhat small. mine they were using mini atx which will be a pain in the A$$ since everything is close to each other.
finally it is cheaper to buy parts and choose the best case you want, and build it for a better performance.

HP Omen is a laptop, not a desktop.

OMG, that made me laugh alot, i was like, how can u do all these things to the Laptop haha
My opinion this is, what are exactly, your needs. 40fps out of 60fps is good. But if you do not even know what framerate is in games, i guess these specs would fine for you. Ma friend have one, gtx960 4GB, and it is good, not bad. B ut the new Omen series has 1060 and 1070, maybe you want to buy one of those, even though the 1070 would cost around 2.3k $ i guess

HP Omen is a laptop, not a desktop.
nope bro Omen is a Family name in HP it includes laptops. as i usually see. for gamer they get the omen desktop.

in case he want to buy a gaming laptop WTF man :P who buys a gaming laptop haha then it is another no no and no :D
Johnaudi
Pretty sure he's talking about the laptop.
mohammadk97
I think you mean GTX 960m, there isn't a Laptop with a desktop 960.
I definitely recommend against it. This year, Nvidia ditched the video card mobile series, and started putting a full desktop GTX 1060 and 1070 on laptops. The average price of a GTX 1060 laptop is 1200-1500 on amazon.

True i was googling the other day, the difference between my 980 and the 980M , is 50%, whereas the Pascal series the difference fr each card is like 20% max with its own mobile version. Does this mean gaming on laptops is good ?!

EDIT: I have put more choices in the beginning post.

4gb graphics is pretty much useless as it is. You need the graohic card name

Ahhh I just took a pic of the description on the screen, ok I will go back and ask for more details

Given these options have GTX 950m or less, the 4 GB varient of these graphics card of less are usually slower than the 2 GB ones. Because the 4GB uses the DDR3 vram version, while the 2 GB uses GDDR5. And giving that you will never use more than 2 GB of vram, I recommend getting one with a 2 gb vram (that is if these are gtx 950m or gt 940m).

I added my final two choices, mind checking them out please!

None of these.
I've seen a Toshiba laptop with the Acer specs going for 600$
And there's a HP laptop that my friend got with a GTX960M for 1000$
mmk92
Neither are worth it at these prices.
jad594
Guys I need to adjust the pricing, sorry the E-15 is for $750 and the F15 at $880. As always, inflation and VAT in this region is just disgusting.
Will the $880 Laptop run Planet Coaster much more smoothly or only mildly?
nas93
It depends on how you are used to gaming, If you are coming from a console that runs at a constant 30 fps you won't be bothered but If you're coming from a 60/120 fps you will find that the game is too laggy to be played. Anyways, CSGO can run on anything since it is not that demanding but if I were you I wouldn't go for the HP because their QC is horrible and their laptops start to deteriorate as the days go by.
