As much as I have respect for the guy, I have to agree with nuclearcat. Our situation is okay compared to other 3rd world countries. We need some improvements here and there. We cant keep on nagging all the time without any solutions.
Commenting on the video:
1: For the internet, I highly suggest him to subscribe to a 4mb connection for the same price of 30$ a month. You wont get the full promised speed, but you do get a decent 250 kbps download rate on peak times! and at night its around 350 kbps, plus a much better quota and FUP (and thats concerning all ISPs)
I know it still sucks compared to other countries, but he can really improve his situation concerning his internet connection
2: for the Mobile data, based on my experience 4G is available all around Beirut and suburbs for Alfa and I had the chance to try it in Deir el Amar once and it was surprisingly fast ! So yes there is converage some rural areas in lebanon and the 3G connection is okay there too. As for the prices, I have no Idea, I have never been outside to test but he is right, its somewhat expensive, we need better quotas and plans.
3: How is it that every hour there a chance of a power outage in the whole country, I live in the suburbs of Beirut and we have power outages every 4 hours, and we have a backup generator subscription (or whatever its called) to compensate that. I can fully charge my phone (Nexus 5X) in an hour or so.
Plus your backup system should be a small UPS for the DSL router !

Where I used to live I had almost the same circumstances - in Germany.
One household up to max 600kb/s download (up until last year).
3g with a lot of outages (up until 4 years ago).
An all this to the same prices he mentioned in the video - heck 1.5Gb per month for 20$ was not possible to get here until this year and is still hard - again...in Germany.
