As the author says, Samsung and Apple can't help but copy each other--for better or worse, I guess

Iphone Exploding

Hopefully, just an isolated incident.
Get one of those old Nokias, if they were to explode, the outer shell is so thick and durable the explosion would be contained, causing all that energy and particles within the phone to collide, fuse, and form a black hole.

so it will implode
It exploded sometime between shipping from the factory to being unboxed by the owner, according to the report. That's pretty strange. This is probably an isolated incident. Phones explode all the time but the Note7 made a huge buzz because it was so widespread and the recall didn't help too. I was on two Emirates flights, one MEA flight and one easyJet in the last 3 weeks and all of them actually gave a warning over the PA asking for Note7 owners not to turn on or charge their phones for the entire flight. It's crazy.
Made in China
Just like most electronics but li-ion batteries have that particular way of failing.
And to think how much of that power goes to power software bloat.
So we can say get a nokia but not an htc even if it's for the same funny reason, whatever!!!!
With the assembly lines distributed in South East Asia and East Asia with low quality control , every thing is possible. Actually , yes it exploded regardless of the causes.

Just Google " iphone 7 exploded" , and you will read many articles about this topic. And by way Iphone 8 and on , will start dealing with Samsung OLED screens as a replacement of the current LCD. Deal done in April 2016. "According to the alleged terms of the deal, Samsung Display will supply in the region of 100 million 5.5-inch OLED panels annually, with the value being estimated at $2.59 billion."

Hopefully , Apple Fans will not be detracted from always saying " the premium superiority of the Iphone". :)
