Hey guys i already mentioned in my introduction that it's gonna be my first year in AUST ,so I applied and made an EEE and math 2 exam, then I got accepted with Writing Skills ,precalculus because I knew I was having math 2 when I got there and I'm fine with that, but can anyone tell me why I have 2 biology courses ?The first is an introduction to biology and the second is Biology Lab ,plus the advisor that was there was not really welcoming and experienced,he seemed to be new because he knew nothing and was asking people on the phone on how to get some stuff done infront of us and he just wanted to fill up our schedules ,my second question is ,can i drop&add and take a different schedule to my courses ,i mean i dont want a 3 hours break,i took tth but what the hell... And why the biology remedials??Thank you for reading guys..

hey, I am an AUST graduate and the university to say the least is always going through changes of staff this is mostly due of shortage of qualified educators in this country coupled with the low salaries the university is always imposing on new professors.. don't get me wrong there are fine and great educators there but during my 4 years i noticed that namely the "saker family" in charge has no ambition on making the university and elite one but rather they took the LIU approach and just accepted any student into any major (and in the process inflated the Lebanese market with newly graduates with no jobs to fill... also they are very rude and abusive to their employees (my friend cried everyday on her shift because of the psychological abuse)
My recommendation is not to take a no for an answer and demand that you don't take remedial courses go in as an asshole and they will listen to you .. shout on top of your lungs and they will kiss your ass. Typical Lebanese interaction (balad zbele)

Hey man thank you for your reply.Im sorry to hear about your friend and about this issue, but really why would you take a nonsense remedial for a different type of major, ill see what i can do but ill take it anyways, meanwhile im still googling what does biology have with computer science, maybe the word "science" in common. And you are so right about the last thing you've said, they want to make you rude in order to be responsive and helpful...

Hello lelo555.
By the way, AUST's Computer Science program has been accredited last week from ABET. So I think it's very good news for you.
All the best.
