Hello everyone, I have been referring to these forums for advice for years now without ever registering but today I bit the dust and finally did :) thank you for having me flip back to my university programming course to be able to write a code for the registration question haha.
Anyway as the title suggests I can't for the life of me find a decent PSU for my pc :(
I have an evga gtx 1080 Superclocked sitting in the closet with no PSU and it is driving me insane.
my system needs about 400w of power and I'm planning to install a 750w-850w psu to allow for future upgrade and/or sli. I'm willing to go as high as 1000w if a good PSU is found :( yes im that desperate.
The only 2 DECENT just decent PSU units I can find are the thermaltake toughpower gold 750w and a corsair cs 850 or 750w
I would be willing to pay extra for a good psu if it is readily available but I don't want to wait a long time as the rest of my pc is avaible.
I never imagined the psu to give me the most trouble out of all the pc parts I have put together and I don't want to end up frying a 3500$ rig with a bad psu.
Any advice is highly appreciated and desperately needed!
Thank you in advance.
