I need to setup an intranet using WiFi between two locations, A and B.
Distance between A and B is approximately ~80 meters.
A is third floor, B is ground floor. Between A and B there is one building and some trees.
Note that there is a lot of WiFi signals (It's in Beirut) plus on B's roof there is a cell site.
I know that if I put two access points on the roofs it can be done easily (already test it)
But I prefer not to install them and deal with cables and boxes up there.
So my question for the network gurus here: Can it be done by installing one directional antenna in location A (third floor)
- Something like Dlink ANT70-1800 (found it @ pcandparts.com) -
or is it a waste of money?
any high gain unidirectional wifi antenna will do the job...<14-16dbi
