Hi guys,
I moved to a duplex house and I need a quick answer on the best way to settle my Internet, which if set in the middle of one of the floors barely covers the whole floor but no signal reaches the second floor. So I tried testing and 2 modem/routers can't work together if they're not connected through LAN and set up.
So I think my 2 solutions are buying like 2 repeaters to cover the whole 2 floors vs buying a new very high range modem/router.
Which one should I go for and if the second choice which modem/router do you recommend and if you have info about the good range specification I should look for that would be great.
My current modem/router is a TP LINK TD-8951ND and it has 5 dBi which didn't fit the house at all.
Thanks.
Edit: I play games from time to time if this matters because I had bad experience with friends' repeaters.

Hi
I used once a wifi repeater and it was very bad maybe because it was rubbished product, unless you can find a good reliable wifi repeater upgrading to a higher range router is the best solution.

Thanks, I wanted to get a Linksys 200$ router with 4 antennas but I thought it was not worth the money since I only have 2 mbps and average line stats since the phone line wasn't set up the correct way so I ordered 2 range extenders for 30$ each, will test them and give feedback.

use range extenders with bridge mode if they have it... they will perform better...
