Hope everyone is doing fine.

I am currently a student at AUB. I was freshman last year, and I just finished my sophomore year. Since my freshman GPA wasn't high enough, I remained majorless until now. I want to enter the school of business, but they need a minimum GPA of 77% (76.5% is accepted). And I am always getting stuck on the 74.5 - 75% GPA range. I can remain majorless until next spring. But it's such a hassle, because I will keep on having restrictions on most courses, of which some of them cannot be taken at all until I enter the faculty of business; hence I can lack behind in the program. Also. there is a course that I have to repeat.

LAU recently received the AACSB accreditation for the Adnan Kassar School of Business, the same accreditation that AUB has for its Olayan School of Business. Is it worth the transfer ? Almost all of the courses that I have taken at AUB will be equated at LAU, and at least if I enroll at LAU, I will not have a "majorless" status.

Keep in mind that I am not willing to pursue business later on, after receiving the bachelor degree. My plan is to study film-making as masters.

The difference between AUB and LAU is there. It's not as big as it used to be in the past though. I would stay another semester or maximum two and try to get it to 77%, if it fails, you can transfer then.
Stay in AUB and work harder. And if you need to fill up any spots during a semester, work on your GE courses.
Now that the school of business at LAU received the same accreditation as the one of AUB, and the fact that I will not purse MBA later on, or work in the business industry, would my stay at AUB still matter ?
MBAs aren't for business graduates anyway, so that wont matter, but if you're not planning to work in business why are you studying it? At the end of the day, an AUB degree will always be worth a bit more than an LAU one. So my personal advice is to try and stay at AUB. I graduated from LAU and I kinda wish I went to AUB.
