Hello,
Ogero just installed my DSL and they used a "Thomson/Technicolor" modem. In the included user guide, it says the gateway's address is 192.168.1.1.
I tried that in my browser, but it's not working. Any ideas?
Upon further investigation, the gateway's address is 192.168.2.1, but even that doesn't work in the browser. Maybe I should establish a wired LAN connection? Let's try...
wired is different than wireless. Wireless is 10.x.x.x. Wired connection gateway is 192.168.1.1
I am connected wirelessly and my gateway is 10.0.0.138 and when I connect via a wired connection it is 192.168.1.254. It may be set up differently for different modems. I am using a Technicolor modem provided by Ogero. I don't think this would bey an issue if you unless you disable dhcp and plan to manually map your system.
Well, the issue is that I can't change my modem's settings wirelessly. I haven't yet tried a wired connection, but I'm assuming this is the problem, as some modems (or setups) don't allow wireless browser connections to the device's GUI.
mine was 192.168.1.254 provided by IDM .. wireless changes are accepted
