testii hii guys I need help, I'm not sure if this is the right category to ask my question in. Actually I want to register a com.lb domain for a new client he is insisting on having a .lb in the domain name. i searched on the topic and I found out that I need to contact LBDR at AUB but I don't know what documents I should provide for them. Is it an easy process?? I found some websites that sell com.lb domain name is it legal?? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you guys
ragdoll Hasn't been updated since 2012 (much like the rest of the country, truth be told) but this page has everything you need, I guess.

sillypooh If you're still interested, you need to pass by the Ministry of Economy and Trade (economy.gov.lb) and register for a trademark under class 35. That should cost you about 150.000 LL last time I checked. Domain and trademark is valid 15 years, so it's quite a bargain. You will have to fill the paperwork of the LBDR and send it by email to the admin. Then you will need to send an email request to their automated registrar server, see the LBDR docs. And no, third-party registrars and brokers are specifically not allowed to register without this procedure.
testii Thank you sillypooh for all the information :) I'll inform the client about the ministry of economy procedure.
