Hello. So i have an expansion Seagate 2TB drive (no power supply, similar to a usb). It was dropped accidentally at a computer tower's height and landed on the floor. Trying to connect it again and the drive is not powering up. I can hear several clicks when connected which disappear eventually.
Going in to Windows Disk Management, i find my drive as unallocated and the system needs to reset my Master Boot Record. So the issue now is to recover MBR . Any guaranteed method to restore my MBR and thus my drive?

I have had something similar happen with an external hard drive falling. I took it to someone, and they gave me a new external case, similar to those that are used to access internal hard drives in notebooks, etc, and put the hard drive itself in there, and that fixed the issue. Apparently, the fall jarred some of the hardware loose, but the hard drive itself was fine. My drive was basically unresponsive when I hooked it up to a computer before this, so maybe, this is similar.
good luck
