Am I the only one who dislikes on-screen buttons? The bezels are there anyway, why waste screen real estate?

Exactly. On-screen button are a waste of screen space and make the phone case look less attractive with all the blank area.
Guys again these photos are either fake or imaginative renders, the final product could be very different
Well this photo doesn't show dual front speakers too! It may be a front speaker on top and a bottom downward speaker on the bottom... which is weird!
In case it dumps the dual front speakers, they will doomed further...
Poor HTC... I always loved it and it was my favorite at some time...
Htc could have targetted at least the music enthusiasts. Boom speakers, some built in headphone amp, Beats headphones.

Some edge at least.

Not all music is created equal. Hi-res audio so every note is crystal clear. You’ll hear it. 4/12 #powerof10

In a tweeted video released today, HTC addressed its commitment towards “tuning the highest-quality sound possible”, in order to deliver what it describes as “the best BoomSound yet”…

According to HTC's claims, the HTC 10 will be "the best ever smartphone for shooting photos and videos".

I agree on the first part because most manufacturers seem to be ignoring the music quality. But not the edge screen, that's really useless, it just makes the phone look good. Functionality wise it adds nothing worthwhile and it makes the screen much more prone to shatters if the device is dropped.

edit: you probably meant 'edge' as in something to give them an edge in the market, just realized that ;)
Well they're good at generating hype, I'll give them that.
Their biggest problem in my opinion will be that it's about a month too late into the market. The S7 edge has been out for about a month now and has sold very well. The G5 is making its way into most markets right now. It'll take at least a good month until we start seeing the HTC 10 roaming about. That's a big mistake in my opinion, even if the hype is building up during that time.
I don't think so, every year they matched the release with samsung but because of that they released unfinished products sometimes like the M9 last year that was massacred by reviews because of the camera, 1 month later they released the RAW support that gave a big advantage for the camera but it was too late, the reviews were already out. This time they took all their time to make it perfect at least I hope so, given what Hamdir said, the phone itself is ready for a month now but they are ironing out all the bugs and finishing to implement all the bells and whistles

They are even releasing an equally capable 4.7 inch mini version in September which is really late.

They should do like Sony and release them all together to appeal to all segments of the market without deceiving and frustrating some of them.

Hamdir is the most involved Lebanese guy over XDA for HTC, he's on HTC Elevate (HTC private forum) and he received an M10 prototype from what I understood, he's so passionate about hTC that he's the number 1 source of info at XDA
Will the htc 10 be gray or black?

Are the lines on the silver back white or blue?

I think, like they did with the M9, they'll release the HTC 10 in three different colors: gunmetal, silver and gold.

@kfc neither, it'll be gunmetal. And the lines are white.

So what about the pic above with blue lines?

As for the dark color, they released the A9 in gray and X9 in black, so nothing is guaranteed. From the pic above, it looks like they opted for black.
The official unveiling date is in 4 days, we will see the final design and colors then, many pics are fake over the net
