I have watched Batman vs Superman for the second time.
The first time was in Citycenter and the second in ABC Ashrafiyeh.
In both incidents, the crowd was mainly little kids without adult supervision (the ones with supervision had their parents waiting outside).
Due to the nature of the film (violence, language, etc.) I believe its rating (PG13) it should not be watched by children under 13.
Yet, there were little girls (who actually felt sick and left the room!)
I know it is the responsibility of the parents, but it is also the responsibility of the cinema itself to enforce these ratings.
I have filed a report against both cinemas and waiting for the official feedback.

Yea Batman vs Superman is a movie which has a lots of physical violence in it, but i would not call it vulgar or "Not suited for kids".
Kids witness physical and verbal violence daily in their lives was it in the school/streets/home... (especially streets).
But now, DeaDpool on the other hand, i did not see any kid inside the theater when i watched it,
I guess there was some sort of enforcement with that movie, and i am with you on this movie, because it should.
(I watched in Beirut Souks).

I am just checking to see if there is actually any official source that lists the ratings of movies in Lebanon and I can't find any.

We are the only country where kids can access sexual content very easily, TV stations, internet, cinemas...no wonder why they are turning hipsters and twisted

You should see those kids during the Deadpool movie

To be fair that's also true for other countries. This whole generation is being dumbed down by all this readily available technology. 3 year olds on iPads 12 hours a day... It's sad.

Yeah, kids are different now. I remember we used to play in the arcade when we were kids. Boys and girls would gather there every afternoon. I would spend a few thousand LL a day on coins. Coins were like 100LL each. Then the internet happened and now 5 year olds have smartphones and tablets.
I don't plan on watching batman vs superman as I heard it is "superman hate fest" but I saw Deadpool. It is a funny but weird movie and not really appropriate for very young kids.

Lebanese kids nowadays are over spoiled. But common if I were them at that age. I would do the same thing because kids in their natural love restricted actions if no education was done to teach why this is wrong and this is good. So in my point I wouldn't blame the technology nor the authorities. I would blame their parents for not supervising what they are watching in the end its their parents money.
In the other hand I was going to watch the movie BT vs sp but the reviews are not exciting.

Honestly, I would give my kid exposure to these sexual scenes instead of having him go through Sexual Education at school like I did.
I always went into R rated movies when I was young and turned out to be a decent 'hipster' :p

The people in charge are the one to blame.
Let me give you a real life exemple.
Once, I was with my friends and we decided to watch a movie. We were under 18 so the "cashier" (?) refused to sell us tickets without proof of age. She then went ahead and asked her manager who told her to just ignore age verification and sell us the tickets.
This happened more than once.

But really, 17 ,18, 19 how does it matter?

The theater wad filled by children under 13 and some under 7.
Some did not even have their parents with them.

And when they grow a little bit, parents starts wondering what is going on with their child acting all weird..

Not really. The most hardcore sexual content can be found on the internet. But the connexion in Lebanon puts the country at disadvantage, compared to others. On the other hand, these restrictions are not so ingrained in the culture.

@jsaade I was replying to george00, but in your case yes it is indeed weird, but also different, it is not an 18+ movie.
I mean let us assume their parents were there, would they force them to close their eyes on some scenes, or even further i doubt they'll even care of what's showing, they'll just use their phones.
@rolf,vegetaleb: I think western countries have more control of what children can access, in general.
This might be irrelevant, but the UK governement has prohibited fast food advertisement country-wide, they really care about their children, based on scientific researches.
rolf
That is true. There are more options for restricting content if you have children. The internet might be restricted by default, and you have to "unlock" it. In the libraries, the internet is censored, too strictly actually.
