is it safe? i mean look at the skulls and everything...
I've read about it somewhere before but never tried it.
It may be similar to the "arabian coffee".
The one that you keep boiling all day and you can only drink a little bit because it's too strong.
@hussam

Simply it is pimped with "caffeine" to make your nervous system very alerted. Which means , more addiction and health negative repercussions. Advise noted.
Do not consume weird products... It weakens your heart, with unnecessary excitement.
I was wondering how this was considered a strong coffee. Caffeine makes sense, though. After a little research, I found out that a 12 oz serving (about 340 ml) of that coffee has a caffeine content of 660 mg. Compare that to same amount for regular brewed coffee (150ish), espresso shot (50 or so) or even red bull (80mg), and you are looking at something which a lot of people won't be able to handle well. A whole pot of brewed coffee will have around 800mg of caffeine, so you are looking at getting that amount in 1 cup.

Treat with caution if you are going to consume it, and keep it away from the elderly or others with heart problems.
Wow. A unanimous positive review!
Ok, thanks guys. I shall consume this coffee immediately and provide cardiograph feedback tomorrow.
Honestly dude, I care more about the taste of the coffee than the coffee caffeine content. I usually buy fresh beans from Starbucks or elsewhere and grind them myself and brew the coffee. In general, the better coffees will be less acidic and have a lower caffeine content that the cheaper coffees. The Brazilian coffee they generally use for arabic/turkish coffee here is pretty much crap. If I am out of regular coffee and make a mugful of turkish coffee, I get jittery from the caffeine while I can drink a pot of the brewed coffee without an issue.

Bottom line, if it tastes good drink it. If it doesn't find something else to feed your need for caffeine. :)

Please tell more about higher quality coffee. I want to go into that direction. What do I need? Is Davidoff Ground Coffee good enough or it's better to get the beans off Costa/Starbucks?

That's your opinion.... It's not crap at all.

It's a fact. The original turkish coffee was originally made from Yemeni coffee. I don't know if you can get any it any more, but if you can, try a 'finjan' and it will change your outlook. The brazilian beans here also are mostly robusta, not arabica. They tend to be higher in caffeine and harsher in taste, and not coincidentally, significantly less expensive than their counterparts.

If you don't believe me, buy some good coffee beans and have them prepared for regular arabic coffee and then come back with your assessment. For Arabic coffee, I would suggest a Sumatran Mandheling or Kenyan AA estate. They are rich in flavor, a dark roast, and really good for things like espresso and I assume, arabic coffee.
I enjoy the 'harsher' taste, that's the whole point... Not everything in life has to cost a lot to be good! Not that the ones you mentioned are bad. But I happen to love turkish coffee. That's all :)
i agree with salloum, i mean on what standard are coffee prices based on, besides type(origin), nothing but the consumer, in my opinion.
of course there are bad brands, i am talking about normal price to expensive.

Brazilian coffee is used here mainly for price--everyone drinks coffee and there needs to something that everyone can drink. I am not saying the coffee here is terrible, but it isn't that good, but there are places which are worse. Case in point, I have friends that live and work in the Gulf states and always load up on coffee here because most of the stuff there is undrinkable and/or expensive.

While the brazilian stuff here is about $10 a kilo, the types I listed are closer to $10-$15 a pound, not super expensive, but wouldn't be accepted in mass over here. I would suggest that if you can, try something different, There is a coffee which is pooped by civet cats which goes for $700 a kilo, or $50 a cup in some places, so we are not going nuts here (also one pooped by elephants which supposedly goes for $1000 a kilo, but not it is getting ridiculous and even more gross).
