There is a shop (VRzone) in Lebanon , that opened recently that has HTC Vive , Oculus Rift , and Soon PS VR. A wide range of VR games are available in its steam library. Book and Test before purchase. Enjoy ! :)
I was at a fifa tournament today, and vr zone was there with free 5 minute demos.
I got to try the Brookhaven experiment, a zombie shooter.
I have to say I'm sold on the tech, just to get the cons out of the way:
-Screen door effect is present, but not bothersome.
-The resolution is not enough for a screen that is on your face, the pixels are visible but to up the resolution will mean ridiculous bump in pc requirements.
Also the vr zone guys are more salesmen than tech guys so they set up the room scale very small, the chaperone walls were visible all the time so instead of feeling that I'm in a dark field being overrun by zombies, i feel that I was transported to a simulation of a dark field being overrun by zombies.
I didn't feel any discomfort or motion sickness, mainly due to how good the tracking on the headset and the controllers.
And as proof to how immersive it is, there was one guy playing fruit ninja, and the guy handling the vive was asking people to step away not to get hit by the player because he's been hit before. 30 seconds later, that guy drifted into the playspace and got hit full force by a guy swinging a virtual katana, it was brutal :'D
As a result of the demo, i was hesitant to order a vive but now I will be definitely ordering a vive.
Feel free to ask me anything
