-2nd week = 650 even 630$
-3rd and 4th week = 600$
-5th week = 575$
-6th week = 540$
Price stays that way for about 2-3 weeks
Then it decreases for 10$ every week till it reaches 500$ then it will stay at 500$ for a month or 2
But don't you think that at 400$, the a9 is still expensive knowing it has been released 4 months ago?

If you really want to save your money then get an E9+ at 330$ or a chinese smartphone at 50$ on aliexpress, it will have the same specs as the huawei hahaha.

Yes because I mentioned flagship models price, not midterm ones, so the price example I gave was for incoming M10.
Midterms phones that come in between 2 flagships are released at an already normal price while the flagships like M10 at HTC and S7 at Samsung will be locally overpriced the 1st 6-7 weeks because many people will be hyped and want to buy them no matters what (newest CPU,GPU, camera...)

HTC A9 was released at 500$! It is very expensive for a mid-range phone!!

Now, It is only 50-70$ cheaper than the M9+ which is way better in specs (bigger screen , 2k, bigger battery, more rams and storage, faster processor etc).

First A5 is metal and glass not cheap plastic and all reviews agree that its design is premium.

Second i HATE samsung.

Third, when someone respectfully debates with you, you dont use haha and lols and capital letters. This just shows how weak your argumentation is.

Fourth, you just totally avoided addressing my main argument maybe because you couldn't. If you have the financial means to buy a new premium phone every few months without worrying about its price and the value it gives you in return, then good for you. But not everyone has the same luxury as you, therefore it is anyone's right to address this issue, make comparisons and ask for convincing answers without being mocked.

You said that HTC's midrange phones are released at a normal price, thats why their prices dont drop fast. So I asked you whether 500$ was a "normal" price for a mid-range phone???

and yes it is true that htc a9 is better than other mid-range phones in some aspects like the built, audio and UI but at the same time, the others are better in other aspects like screen quality/size, camera, battery, chipset and GPU, RAMs... It is not like they all have the same specs but HTC have in addition to that a better build, audio and UI. Therefore, the much higher release price has no valid justification IMO.

and no i am not reducing a phone to its price. The "value for price" is one of the numerous parameters that any person considers while evaluating a phone, and it happened that I was discussing this specific parameter.
I never said 500$ was normal, but they quickly drop it to 430$ which is normal, of course I would have preferred it to be less expensive but 350$ to 430$ is a normal price for this phone.
I mentioned in my review that this phone is very good in everything but 3D games, RAMs are more than sufficiant for everyday use.
The RAM war that samsung launched is really pitiful knowing that their TW UI is slower on 4gb ram than Sense on 2gb ram ;)
But if you use to play 3D games on your phone you can find better choice than A9 for sure

just to clarify something, i don't hate his phone. all what i said is that in terms of price for value, it fails compared to other phones like the Galaxy A5 or nexus 5x or sony M5 which are all priced 50-70$ less while being equally good +/- or even better .

But just read some posts and you will see that people went beyond normal critics, they attacked me personally and they just deliberately trolled this thread by being very provocative.
It's absolutely normal that some people won't like this phone or another, they just say so I have no problem at all, but there is a thin line between saying I don't like this this phone and saying bs things about my review.
