- A major bug has been discovered in Skylake chips, which causes them to freeze under heavy workloads.
Intel's Skylake issues
No problem at all with my skylake 6500, though I am using the stock fan as it's silent enough and efficient.
I am playing for hours at full specs in heavy games without any freezing.
Perhaps they are talking about K variant

The bending issue is a problem for all Skylake CPUs, not just K SKUs, it's because Skylake CPUs are thinner than Haswell and previous generation CPUs, it's only really a problem if you put a heavy aircooler like the Noctua NH-D15 or Thermalright Silver Arrow and move the PC which no one should be doing since there's a possibility of the mobo's PCB breaking.vegetaleb wroteNo problem at all with my skylake 6500, though I am using the stock fan as it's silent enough and efficient.

As for the freezing issue it's only there with huge workloads, while gaming even at max settings isn't that huge of a worload for the CPU.
