Hi guys,
I have an hp pavilion dv6 laptop with a bad battery(replaced before & needed replacement one more time) , it had inside a wd blue 1TB hard disk drive (5 months old). The drive probably was damaged buly the battery.
It couldn't boot last week so we replaced it with a toshiba. So i thought i'll be able to recover my files( they're pictures & videos mainly & some excel & word sheets ). But i put it in an enclosure & connected it to 2 different pcs without it being recognized in My Computer but recognized in device manager & disk management. I tried many recovery programs : some couldn't detect the hard disk at all and some detected it , but one gave me a result(after i scanned for photos) : it gave jpeg photos (with very small sizes i kbs )which aren't readable & seem like corrupted files , i also tried fixing these photos with some jpeg fix utilities without any luck . Can you think of any solution ? I thought about rebuilding mbr but would it overwrite the data ?
any help is very much appreciated.
thanks
ps: The disk space showing in the recovery tool which worked was 238 gbs or something like that. & i scanned the hdd( & it shows bad sectors(of course)).
