Hey there,
I have a Samsung LCD TV 24 inches which I am using in my room and I am planning to get a good LED Screen to connect my laptop too.
What do you think is the better choice? to purchase a LED Screen or a LED TV and use the old TV as a Screen?

It depends
If you like gaming on small screens or big screens + your hardware power
I play on both , and I like playing on big screen 42 inch and above - I have a 55 4k tv linked to my desktop , brilliant experience. If you prefer computer monitor try to have a 1080p/144hz (seek for availability in Lebanon ) and if the you have the horse power 21:9 ultra wide at 3440x1440 like the LG 34UM95 is very immersive but sure you need to have a capable hardware (980s in Sli / 390x in Crioss Fire or 980Tis in SLI (Most Preferable) to enjoy a 60fps experience.
Sure you can monitor and ship from outside a 1440p / 144hz / Gsync or Fee Sync Monitors at 27 inch but also they are not cheap. Hamdan , Tahan , Khoury are doing really serious offers on UHD and FHD TVs make a visit to their showrooms. In UHD or 4K tvs I do not recommend to slip in cheap offers < USD 1000 , bad upscale , low real panel refresh rate , no HDMI 2.0 etc... But the FHD offers are good , you can unable DSR @ 1440 p or 2160 p on a 42 inch FHD TV and enjoy enhanced graphic fidelity. But if you have funds wait for the release of 4k HDR TVs or invest in a good quality 4k HD - no lost ROI.
