Hello!
My Sandisk Cruzer Blade is half broken and dunno when it completely brake (USB connection plastic).
I made a quick search at Virgin and Microcity and they have only Sandisk,Kingston and Transcend. Well LOT of sandisk, many Kingston and a few Transcend, dunno why Sony ones disappeared.
I need a fast 32gb memory stick but not very expensive.
There are the:
-Kingston Digital DataTraveler SE9 G2 USB 3.0 (Mettalic)
-Transcend 32GB JetFlash 810 USB 3.0
-Transcend 32GB JetFlash 760 USB 3.0
The Kingston has great advantage to be metallic so it's certainly more durable but the Transcend models look faster, what do you think for people who owned any of them.
Sandisk? when you can get a 32gb with these brands, with the sandisk you get a slow 16gb

You could check PCAndParts. I remember looking at their site for one when I was in need of a drive. Ended up getting one from the UAE (and ironically paid more than what PCAndParts were charging, but not by much.)
I got the Sandisk 64GB Ultra Fit for around $30. PCAndParts currently doesn't have it in stock but you might want to take a look, see what you might like. They mostly have Kingston.

Sandisk Ultra is just as fast as the Kingston meaning 13mb/s transfer on USB 3.0, the Transcend is in the 18-20mb/s but you have more chances to get a faulty unit after some weeks of usage from what Amazon reviews suggested.
The Kingston looks cool and it's cheap, about 16$ for 32gb, the Transcend is faster but plastic and can goes dead after a while, so dunno what to choose.
Too bad they don't bring the PNY products in Lebanon, the Turbo is just as fast as sandisk Extreme for half the price

I'm actually getting ~25MB/s while transferring to the Ultra (rarely dips down to 15), and 130MB/s when transferring from it. It's great so far. Been using it for around 3-4 months now.

Ask for their warranty policy.
Maybe if it fails they will refund it or get you another one.

I've got the Sandisk extreme 64GB stick, pretty speedy thing, for a 10GB movie file, I get around 120MB/s moving to the USB, and also about 120 moving from it(can go up to 250MB/s when moving smaller video files), got it for $50 abroad back in summer, could only find the 32GB version of it in Lebanon, and that costs $44(but that was in a huge electronics shop on a highway so that was most likely pricier)

Yeah well I don't want a pricey sandisk, something under 20$
getting 2x or 3x times the speed of my actual cruiser will be already very good, BTW using it on USB 3.1 port is faster with 8mb/s vs 5.5mb/s on USB 2.0, though it's a USB 2.0 stick!
The PNY Turbo is at 11$ on Amazon and is nearly as fast as the sandisk extreme with same build quality

No PNY dealer in Lebanon?
Stygmata
I got the sandisk extreme pro...damn it is fast

The choice in Lebanon is very poor, getting an external HDD 1Tb at 60$ is a better choice, I think it's even faster than the fastest USB memory no?
ragdoll
I bought the WD Ultra Compact 1TB drive when I got the Sandisk USB Stick. It's at $70 from PCAndParts. (got it for around the same price from the UAE)
Transfer speeds to the drive are at around 30-45MB/s on USB 2.0. Should be around 60-70 on USB 3.0. And it's a constant 130MB/s in the opposite direction.

It looks like the Transcend External hdd 1 terra shock resistant design usb3 _ts1tsj25m3 from Microcity is very fast at 67$.
113MB/s in Write mode!!!

Might as well go for it. I only mentioned mine to tell you what to expect.

So I went to ABC to check with M2 and Virgin about the HDDs and Flash memory...
One word: WTF!
The Transcend HDD which is at 67$ at Microcity is at 86$ at Virgin and 100$ at M2!!!!!!
The Sandisk Ultra duo 32gb is at 16$ at Virgin and 33$ at M2!!!
Virgin is 19$ more expensive than Microcity and M2 is more expensive by 33$, on the Flash memory it's literally the double than Virgin.
So yes: WTF!
PS: And they dare say ''this year was terrible because nobody is buying anymore''

You just summarized Lebanon in a few sentences.

In shop prices are usually always more expensive than online, so I'd suggest you get it from microcity, or pcandparts(that's where I got both my 1TB and 2TB WD external drives), hmm the prices at microcity are with or without 10% VAT?

Since the new website design it's VAT inclusive.

Go to compuworld in Dawra or Mansourieh/Mkalles
Cheaper than pcandparts
Got my HDD from there

I bought a WD myPasseport Ultra 1TB HDD USB 3.0 used for 40$ :) :)
Checked the drive with Crystaltest software and Windows errors check and the drive is 100% healthy.
It's one of the fastest if not the fastest external HDD (non SSD), just transferred Everest movie about 3GB to it with a speed of 105 MB/S from my old internal HDD (so the old one is limiting the speed), it should reach the 120mb/s if receiving a file from SSD.
I will reformat it to exFat so I can enjoy file with size bigger than 4GB.
Well I am pretty much satisfied and it's really a big deal, as I won 1TB memory and 5x the speed I would have with the USB memory stick Transcend I had in mind for only 25$ more.
