So the GPU is starting to make noticeable prolonged buzzing noises when on load.
And i am touching the back plate right now, i burnt my hand.
In game, the temperature reached 80 degrees which is new for me, it used to be lower, 60-70 degrees before.

I wasn't sure where the buzzing sound was coming from, but i was sure it was from the gpu, because when alt+tab-ing a game into windows or another application, the sound stops for that brief second when windows switches between the application.

So the gpu is buzzing only when under load!,when in games.

What could be the reason of this?

Oh its a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 980.
Use MSI After Burner and Enable Live Monitoring ( from the Setting / Monitoring) while gaming through RivaTuner Statistics :

-Enable GPU Temperature
-Enable GPU Voltage
-Enable GPU Usage

Click Show On-Screen Display

Set Fans to 80%

Run a Game or Benchmark on Ultra on 1440p/2x or 4x msaa for at least 5-10 minutes , monitor the numbers and report back.

Your 980 is running on the Default OC right , it might be:

1-Fans Issue
2-Voltage Issue (Not Necessary from the Graphic Card it Might Be from the PSU)
There is no GPU voltage in MSI afterburner, all i found was "Voltage limit".

Also, how can i monitor the numbers to put out an average number at the end.
I cant do it in my head, terrible memory.

Yea Default Oc, i didnt tamper with anything since i got it.
Fans are working perfectly, i even stopped them manually (with my fingers) but the sound was still there.

TechPowerUp GPU-Z

What are your readings in the sensors area.
Here are two screenshots.
One on idle, and one on full load. (Dying light @1440p).
It's called "coil whine".
Due to electromagnetism, some capacitors(or any other composants) make noise on heavy load.
Nothing really to worry about if you are not facing performance issues. However, if it's still under warranty return it.
@AVOlio

Perfect Reading Mate, every think is stable, if you still here the coil wine and it increases (this will not jeopardize the card performance). However , if the card is still under warranty report for a replacement.
