Hey guys, hope you're all doing well.
So my friend is building his first gaming pc and he's trying to pick the parts. He's gonna buy them all from pcandparts.com. He already has a keyboard, mouse screen and windows, and he has a 1000 dollar budget. What's the best parts he could get with a 970 as a gpu (no amd please)?
Thanks !

Intel CPU 6500: 202$
MSI Gaming M3: 129$
Kingston DDR4 8GB: 48$
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G: 369$
SSD Patriot Blast PBT240GS25SSDR 240GB: 86$
HDD Seagate 2TB ST2000DM001: 77$
Total: 911$ + VAT (1000$) :)
You can take out either SSD or HDD to make room for something else like a case or power supply

vegetaleb, you seem to be missing a PSU in those specs up there... Just pointing it out because my friend is in the same condition as ramy58's. I'm interested in the final build as well, thanks for the post!
edit: And a case!

I know that new is always better .. but look at the "want to sell" section in the general tab in the forum .. many members offer hardware for negotiable prices
