Hello,
I am looking to buy a laptop for simulation, compilation and purely processing (altera, matlab, labview and stuff along with opencl programming and bitcoin mining)
microcity has a very persuasive offer :
Hp HP 15-ac129ne p4g60ea Core i7-6500U 8 GB 1 TB AMD Radeon R5 M330 Graphics (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) yes 15.6 HD Webcam No 12 0 FreeDOS Black
with a free tablet or 1tb external for 650$ and it will be around 715$ with VAT
so what do you guys think ? is it worth the price or will an i5 with the same specs and 5th gen around 500$ is enough?
the problem with the i5 models is that they are near price with 4gb ram and 500gb hard disk therefore upgrading becomes nearly the same
the following at pcandparts is also a good choice:
Lenovo G50-80A 80E502-31AX Intel Core i5-5200U 4GB Ram 500GB HDD DVDRW 15.6" LED HD LAN, WIFI/BT Radeon R5-M230 2GB Dedicated VGA Cam/ DOS - $469.00
Thank you
Stygmata
Lenovo G50-80A 80E502-2YAX Intel Core i7-5500U 8GB Ram 1TB HDD DVDRW 15.6" LED HD LAN, WIFI/BT Radeon R5-M230 2GB Dedicated VGA Cam/ DOS $609.00
exchange the HDD with SSD and you will have one lean mean machine ( I got it an for autocad 2016 user and it is perfect )

I will be getting this one:
Acer Aspire E15 (E5-573G 73D3) Gray Intel Core i7-5500U, 15.6" WXGA Acer Cinecrystal LED LCD, Nvidia geforce 920M with 2GB dedicated RAM,
8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD,Linux Email $619.00
for the nvidia GPU and I will replace the HDD with a suitable SSD
Thank you
the problem with this model: Hp HP 15-ac129ne
is that I cannot find user reviews for it! it is only placed under middle east section and seems unknown to others
