Hello Geeks,

I currently have an i7 4970K (and I do not OC , I am not OC enthusiast ) and a Thermal Take Contac 21 (Cooling Power 140W max Rpm: 2400) embodied in a Full Tower Case ThermalTake T81 , with two front 200mm Intakes, two 200mm Up Outtakes, Rear 140 mm Outake, and a bottom (near PSU) intake.

CPU Temperature hovering 29-31- Idle
Using a Stress Load Benchmark (AIDA Extreme) - 15 min Stress (Fan Case Controller: High, Bios: Turbo) /Below are the Benchmark Results:

I am thinking of changing the Contac 21 to another Air Cooler Fan that has better temperatures on Idle and Full Load and balances between good acoustic performance and with no Ram Clearance issues

Any one Used:

ThermalTake CLP0587 Frio Extreme

Thermaltake Frio OCK

Thermaletake Frio Advance

ThermalTake Frio Extreme Silent 14 Dual

ThermalTake Frio Extreme Silent 14

ThermalTake Frio Extreme Silent 12

If yes, Recommendations / Opinions about Cooling Performance (Idle and Load), Acoustic Performance (Especially on Load), and any Ram Clarence Issues.

Thank You
I have a Frio Advance.
Sounds like a "Hoover"
But keep my cpu cooled.
Go with a Xigmatek Gaia II, it's cheap and performs about the same as a Hyper 212 EVO, which would keep a 4790K cool at a 4.4GHz overclock.
why air cooling? get a factory closed water cooling kit. Corsair's kits are great and simple to install. had the H80 for 5 years and not a single issue
Well i did the same test as yours, howver i had the fans on standard for the case ...520rpm each, and the cpu cooler Thermaltake frio extreme on a speed of 1000rpm with cpu fan extreme option on, and i got better results then yours, the CPu temp reached 49-51 max
Thosesspeeds are the normal for me while gaming...the cpu would reach at max 35C when i play the most intensive cpu demandin games
Anyway on those speeds, there is no problems at all with the sound of the fans, u wont notice it when you're playing, with the normal volume
However, if i put it to Turpo from the Asus Suite, and i disable the Cpu fan quiet extreme, it would sound like a jet engine
however since for 5months, i never had the fans on max speed
Always Silent mode while normal usage and Standard while gaming with the quiet fan extreme on

He said he doesn't want to overclock. And air cooling is quieter, you don't have to deal with pump noise and the only thing that can stop working in an aircooler is the fan which you can replace with a case fan, whereas a watercooler's pump can stop working and you'll have to RMA the whole thing and have a useless PC for a week or five.
