Guys i finished building my pc from 2 weeks ago and i noticed my cpu on idle is 42c-45c and while gaming 66c-70c guys i am worried my cpu is core i7 4790 with stock cooler should i change it? or my temps are fine please help!!!
Those temperatures are fine but download Prime95 to make sure you are testing it at 100 percent load and then check the temperature. Intel CPUs tend to throttle at 100 degrees and you are way below that. Stay under 80 degrees at full load and your CPU will have a long and happy life. Don't worry about the Tcase measurement; it means nothing.
As tt400 said these are normal .. if you need more assurance buy a good cpu air cooler .. any will suffice actually
do not download the newest version of prime95, it is known for overheating haswell chips, i think the haswell-safe version is 26.6.
anyway, those temps are perfectly fine for a stock cooler, would recommend a 20$ thermaltake contac if you are worried/looking for better temps, but i see no need.
70c under heavy load for an Intel processor is fine.
I would check the motherboard temperature as well.
I get 26°C
I have an i7 4770K and thermaltake frio cooler (the advanced one I think)

Link to me your CPU Cooler Website Mate.

26°C on idle , and did you run Aida64 Extreme for about 10 minutes to stress test your CPU temperature at 100% load. Does you CPU runs on clock speeds or did you OC it and if so by how much ?
Whoa, whats with these temps o.o
i7 4790k not overclocked, and cpu cooler Thermeltake frio extreme
on idle 18-21C, on full load it reaches 40c MAX...but usually 31-35C

No stress test, no oc.
26-28C is like te normal temperature not idle
I tried OC once, temp got to 35C
