hello
I have this simple setup in a small warehouse in my job
internet - Mikrotik RB750 router - HP switch 1 gig (dummy switch ) - 3 AP Nanostation M2
the NSM2 are set in Access point mode and bridge
the wireless setup is 20 Mhz , USA compliance , full power ( 28 DB ) and distance is 0.5 Km
the APs channels are 1 , 6 and 11 respectively

the signal is good but the ping from AP to mikrotik ( 192.168.1.1 ) is not stable , ping ranges from 1 ms to 400 ms
all APs have the same SSID and security
is there something i missed ? i want the delay to be maximum 30 ms .

Note : after a spectrum analysis i found there is too much wireless devices with the 11 and 6 channels , this is why i am thinking to move the channels to 2 , 7 and 12 respectively .

Please advise
yep channels 1, 6,11 are very used in 2.4ghz wifi because they are clearly separated.... you have to switch channels or get a 5ghz network... i think this will solve your problem

5ghz is out of the question as i am using the AP as a wifi hotspot so i am forced to use 2.4ghz
i will try to move the channels up a notch to see what will happen .
Should i change the country or fiddle a bit with the power settings of the wireless ?
i think if you lower the power you won’t solve the problem as you will get less distance to cover and other wifis will take over your network... try to fix the channels until you find something stable
yeah i will fiddle with the channels a bit to see what will happen .. do you think adding another AP will improve it or add to the noise ?
you are forced to use 2.4ghz because you are using the NSM2... you should get the NSM5 which uses the 5ghz and it will work in hotspot mode at 5ghz...or the NSM3 for 3ghz (but pay attention to the 2900mhz WCDMA of mobile operators)

if you add more stations you can lower the power a bit...but the essential here is to change frequencies (between channels or between 2.4 and 5ghz)

also recheck the directions of the antennas
Most mobile phones and laptop dont operate on 5ghz but 2.4
I reduced the distance and change to a different for channel .. Ping to antenna is stable
Will change cables from router to antenna on monday and check
good luck... glad to here that the network progressed a bit...
