Hey,

I have the Technicolor ADSL modem, but as you know its connectivity range is not that good,
I need to get a repeater / range extender to boost the range inside the house,

Someone told me that any repeater / range extender can't work with any adsl modem (bet2atesh w ma btemshe)
So I need to get a router connect it to my adsl modem , then repeater over the connected router.

Is that true ?
Does anyone have repeater connected to his modem ?

Thanks,
Or replace it with a long range modem?
TP-LINK
300mbps adsl2+ modem router TD-W8961N or TD-W8961ND... you can get it from TOP TECHNOLOGIES in Dawra @ 35-40$... it's a good one...
if you incist on the range extender you can get TL-WA854RE or TL-WA850RE for 300mbps @~40$ or TL-WA750RE for 150mbps @~30$ and they are all good... i use them.. and they are all very simple to configure

I want to make sure that the range extender works with any dsl modem before I can buy or search for anything,

So have you tried any range extender from these over the adsl modem ?
yep... they totally work with any wifi signal... even the mobile hotspot
Range extenders are not a good idea because they halve your Internet speed with every extension. What I suggest is you just get a second router and connect it to the modem via Ethernet cable.
Yeah--I have done the same going with the router route. I have both the ethernet cable and power cable (from the UPS) going through the 'tatkheeteh' from the modem and have the router placed in an area of the house which doesn't get a signal from the adsl modem. No need to get really fancy. Easy solution which works.

i felt like we have a 1GBPS connection in lebanon :')... it's not important how much speed you get... the important is to get wifi coverage for that 2mbps.. :')

This is the same thing I have done for my house. Luckily, I was able to tell the electrician to run Ethernet cables through the walls. I now have the modem-router in the center of the house, one router on one end, and a final router at the other end. The entire house has a full connection.
