Hey,
Anyone knows where i can buy a 10-15m (i only need 12-13) DVI to HDMI cable?
And how much would it cost?
Thanks.
I can't find one at PCandparts .. they only have a converter, if you have a long HDMI take the converter instead.
Where is the converter exactly, i cant find it in the list.

I am sorry i don't know why i read display port to HDMI .. check microcity .. they have HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable for $46.00
Its too expensive.
Aren't there any dvi to hmdi converters/adapters for like 5$ or something?
Found cables (in different lengths) and an adapter for 4$ at Katranji.
lol .. 46 to 4 dollars

Hey i have a question,
A DVI to HDMi cable or an HDMi cable with a DVI adapter at one end, will they transfer audio from the source?
As far as i know, DVI does not transfer audio.
And i want this cable to connect the PC through the GPU DVI socket, to the TV (As a second screen).

Nonetheless, will it transfer the audio to the TV?
@Avoilio
I've read before somewhere on the net that sound can be sent using DVI but your GPU should support it and the adapter you're using DVI-HDMI of course. But I am not really sure because I've never tried it..
I have a Gigabyte GTX 980.
It has two Dual link DVI ports, DVI-D and DVI-I. I'm using the first DVI port to my monitor. (And i'm intending to use the second one on the TV with HDMI,thus the cable).
How do i know if the GPU supports it?
I am not really sure but I've looked up the original link where I read about it: here it is: link
I think the easiest way is to try it..
Or maybe you need something like this to make it work?
Too much reading! lol
Yea easiest way is to try it.
I don't mind if it wont output audio (As i have speakers attached to the pc), but i guess it would have been something extra.

I'll update the post once i get everything and try them.

Ok so i did not find the single adapter, but i found an adapter with DVI to HDMI Male, and hooked on it an HDMI coupler (female-female) and on the other end is the 10m HDMI cable that goes to the TV.

The process worked, but i have some issues.
1-Audio is not coming out of the TV, which im quite ok with it actually.

2-Whilst playing videos/movies on the second monitor (TV), i am noticing lags in the playback, like fps drops in terms of gaming.
But they're playing fine on the first monitor.

First monitor is 1440p 90Hz and second is 1080p 60Hz.
Though i tried both at the same resolution and refresh rate, but the lag on the TV was still noticeable.

So what could be the problem?

I have a GTX 980 and i am using both of it's DVI ports to output.

Edit:
Ive tried it with some games, the results are weird.
In some games, i am being able to play even on Duplicate screen (@1080p 60Hz) fine on both monitors.
In other games,i can play the game on one screen, while the the desktop is extended. (game on one screen, and blank desktop wallpaper and taskbar on the other screen)

And in some other games, like BF4, I cant play at all. I have massive CPU and GPU spikes. either on first screen alone, or second screen alone, or extended.
But the weirdest thing with BF4 is, that when playing on one screen. say the monitor, and the other screen is off windows (show only on monitor),i am still getting huge spikes and lags.
Though at the moment when i unplug the second DVI adapter from the GPU, the spikes stop instantly.
So even though i am not using the TV, but just cable plugged in the GPU, i am having spikes.

I just would like to know the solution on the movies/video playback lagging on the TV, i will not bother with Games.
