vegetaleb I am not in any way related to any movement you see on TV that are protesting against the ''faseid'' we have in Lebanon, though why not listing the ones you know here so people understand in which mess we are. Here are some I decrypted: -Electricity of Lebanon (all the ministers of Energy from 1991 till today), an agreement between private membership to ''moteur'' (ichtirak moteur) and the minister, there will be no improvement in electricity in Lebanon because the minister of energy are taking commissions fees from these private sectors, the Lebanese are paying 2 electricity bills: one for the government and one for the private ichtirak. -Water of Beirut (last 2 ministers of Energy) , I was told from a sure source that the ''Office des eaux de Beyrouth'' has just to place a pump for the higher part of Achrafieh so we can have water all year long but they just don't want to do it, the reason is also exactly like for the private thingy of electricity, cistern trucks are delivering dirty uncontrolled water to people and in the end of the month they pay also a little fee for the minister of energy. We all saw during the last storm the real rivers of water in Beirut but still yesterday night tens of cistern trucks were in Achrafieh in every streets. -Customs: While they said they will add more transparency and more logical taxes fees in the products coming from abroad using DHL,UPS...they kept the LOTO way of making you pay, in a way they gain easy money from Lebanese and in another way they are promoting local business that want to import specialty products to pass by local distributors because it's less expensive. -Municipalities: Some municipalities are abusing from their territories to do lot of money, example: the Wardeh parking at Faraya is simply and totally...illegal! They have no right at all to make you pay 7000LL fees for a parking while it's on a public State's road.
Georges00 I think Samsung CTC is part of the faseid in the country or the "tehreeb" thing that's going on. I read a while ago that CTC sells phones cheaper to smaller shops and these shops sell them for a price even lower than CTC (usually around 100$ cheaper) Plus, when I wanted to buy my Note 5 I called CTC, they said it was 750$ I went to a shop near my house. 660$ and claiming it's from CTC (menel cherke) Then I called Private Cell. 640$ with CTC warranty (kafelit el cherke). I bought it from Private Cell for 640$ then after 1 month I called CTC to ask about their warranty. The guy told me I can go to warrantyctc.com and put my IMEI code to check for warranty. My phone did actually have CTC warranty which was kind of a surprise since I bought it from private cell for 110$ less.
