Hi guys.
I'm going to replace my 1tb 7200 rpm hdd for an ssd (preferrably 500gb or 480gb) ,& add 8gb ddr3 ram for my lenovo thinkpad e540 (core i7 4702mq)
First, would i notice with the current processor a difference from 8gb to 16gb ram ( for photoshop, illustrator, some programming & playing occasionaly some games( cod...))
And for storage I found this one: SAMSUNG 850 EVO MZ-75E500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive for 188(without v.a.t) $ on http://pcandparts.com/price.htm
Is it a good choice in comparison with other ssds? Performance, Reliability ?
yes it's a great choice.
And would 16gb ram make a difference ?
In conparison with 8gb ram i mean ?

The SATA cable and screws were not included, I had to buy a cable, and had extra screws. I think the cable cost 3000 LBP or something around that
kareem_nasser wroteWhat are you using for the test?
It's called Samsung Magician.. it came on a CD with the SSD hard disk
I got the 250 gb ssd . It's awesome.
And i upgraded to 16 gb ram .
But i got a question: Are you using rapid mode in samsung magician ?
Nope, I'm on windows 10 Genuine.. but for some reason Samsung Magician couldn't detect my OS.. so I just let it go and left it disabled.
Ah ok.
They'll probably push an update to fix that
