  • Openbox + cablevision compatible ?

So did anyone tried using openbox V8 Pro or v6s or s10 on cablevision scrambled channels ? im hesitated to buy one just for the fact that i need to configure the right frequencies and buy 1 year subscription of cccam and not sure if it works. Hope someone could point me to the right direction.

My current setup: Cablevision (annual subscription)
My upcoming one: replace the receiver with openbox, configure it and bam.
stay with your official subscription with cable vision.. as far as i know there are no CCcam Clines can open Cable vision nowadays. About configuring your openbox it needs a slot for the card and download emu softcam CCcam 2.30 and it will work by inserting the card.

THe problem with replacing your receiver is that your subscription to Bein on CV requires that you have a cablevision receiver--if you don't care about that, then you should be able to find cccams/mgcams which are configured to work on cablevision.

Alternatively, you can use your cablevision receiver for cv and put another dish up pointed at Hotbird, Astra or Nilesat and get the appropriate cccam to get the channels--you will have 2 receivers to deal with though.

Can you tell us more about OpenBox? What is it?
You can just buy any receiver that supports cccam, buy a subscription for one year, install a dish to landline satellites,Cablevision/Digitek/Econet (or if already installed point them at the right direction) , and you should be good to go.
My server opens Cablevision on the landline satellite perfectly as well as Bein Sports (Digitek).

So that's it, no need for this OpenBox or anything extra.
