Hey there , i am a 17 year old student , looking for a part time job anywhere near Dekwaneh area, I will take anything as long as the salary is acceptable. Plus any recommendations on where i should look for a job? apparently too young to be a waiter/runner, i was thinking of hostessing , and then i heard about SnoBiz stands , any other ideas?
Your not too young to be a waiter/runner. I started working as a runner at around 16.
Where? i got rejected by several restaurants because of my age
Well that was like 12 years ago :P, its far from where you live, I use to work in La Chicane in Bikfaya

Hey guys. I am kind of hijacking this thread, but seeing as it was posted in 2015, I don't think OP won't mind. Do you guys know of any part-time jobs which I can work for about a month or so? The reason for wanting such a short period of working time is that I have a university break in which I would not like to waste and earn myself some cash, but otherwise I cannot continue work while in university. I am 20 and live in Baabda but would not mind going to the Beirut area for work.

Thanks in advance.

If you're an engineering student or someone interested in programming, you can always try The Little Engineer. The CEO Rana Shmaitelly is an amazing woman and she's the one who motivated me to start a business venture in my field of interest. The job involves teaching kids scientific concepts and working with Lego's Mindstorm for the younger kids and robotics via Labview and Matlab for the tween and teens. It's pretty cool and it looks good on a resume. There were similar programs like UCMAS back in my days, which deals with teaching kids how to use the abacus to become faster in mathematics (and yes it helps a lot, and I only taught level 1 students; my sister reached level 6). There should be a couple more institutions similar to this one that's not just another summer camp rundown.

Not sure about the 1 month thing though, typically a semester is about 2 or 3 months there.

Anywho, I wish you happy hunting!!

Thanks a ton mesa177! I'll check this out and it seems amazing. Also, if the schedule is flexible enough, I might be able to actually consider taking it alongside my university studies. Awesome suggestion indeed!
