Should I be satisfied with this result?
From a psychological and personal point of view, I would advise If you are happy with your job, just be grateful and thankful for having a salary and a raise. This mental state will help you go through the first two/three years, whatever the salary is, gain as much experience as you can. After 3 years in your job you must assess your money needs and make your decision, of finding another job or asking your employer for a raise, "If you need the raise". Don't fall into the pitfall of comparing with your colleagues and other people in other companies.
A small example to show you that sometimes you cannot control it :
I used to work once in a SOFTWARE consultant company, and they hired a teammate who was a MECHANICAL engineer for a software position. I felt so offended and made a big deal out of it. In the background that person's dad is a big and famous person in the lawyers world. So a big connection. Even if I have discovered a gold mine for the company, that person would still get a higher salary. So you know how it goes. Having the right perspective into the salary Is really necessary in Lebanon.
