  • LAU MBA and required GPA

Hello!
I saw in the website of LAU that they require a GPA of 3.0 minimum, how harsh are they in implementing this rule?
Can they stretch a little?
Yes I got my BS from LAU
10 days later
They will admit you on probation, you will need a CGPA of 3.00 in your first 4 MBA courses to get off the probation.
My opinion though as someone who did both BS and MBA at LAU, don't waste your time or money. Go for an MBA abroad if you can. The MBA program at LAU is not that challenging, you will barely learn new things compared to the BS (assuming it's a BS in Business that you have) and it will definitely NOT help you get a better job.
My GPA was 2.69 and I was accepted for a masters degree in computer science without probation, because I did exceptionally well in my GRE exam(I quit after one semester because the whole experience sucked though).

Those who had less than 3.0 gpa and did average in the GRE were still admitted but on probation. I think it is the same for MBA

This is true for many universities in this country, unfortunately. I second this.

Some universities are giving very good Masters from France, I think USJ has a French Business Master program
ESA is probably the best but the most difficult to get accepted, they give ESCP masters.
I won't say no to go a year abroad for a Master program (I can take a break from Lebanese society) specially in Europe or USA, but I don't think I will find a part time job easily in this country, I don't think my parents will accept to pay both the credits and the house rent.
Though if the master courses cost + housing = a LAU courses cost then OK
