hello everyone,
I've searched in old topics and didn't find an answer to what i'm going to ask, so here it is:
I have an old RC helicopter that needs some repair and finally i have some time to repair it:
1- i need a 40 MHz transmitter, anyone knows where i can buy one in lebanon, i've seen a couple on aliexpress or banggood, but i prefer to buy them from lebanon, if they exist.
2- do you think changing the blades would affect the aerodynamics of the helicopter i've seen some new blades online but i'm not sure if they are compatible or not.
thank you.
About the transmitter try katranji.
You can find it in an old rc car also, so you can search for a cheap rc car.
Back when I had an RC car, Tamiya shops were the place to go to get parts. It was a Tamiya car as well, but those components (transmittor) I think they are compatible across brands.
There is also Wild Willy (if he still exists) who probably have some parts but Tamiya (if they still exist, also!) would be more interesting.
Otherwise get someone to get it on ebay before coming to Lebanon, if you know someone who's doing it.
what's the address of Tamiya?
From what I know last, there is a Tamiya track somewhere between Geant and Dora roundabout (on that side). There should be a small Tamiya shop next to it, if not you should be able to ask someone there, or get some leads.
There used to be a place in Hazmieh in the centre where there is McDo and that supermarket but I think it's long gone. I might be wrong though.
Try searching the internet as well.
PS: from a search, I think it's called HobbyMax now. There was a video on youtube and I think it's the same circuit that I have in mind.
Yes there's Hobbymax near the Mazda showroom. And there's another shop in Zouk on your way to NDU somewhere on the right after dream park.

There's also one in Ain el Remmene ZeroXtreme Hobby shop.

Anyways what is the name of the Heli?

Is it hobby grade or a toy?
I live far from any of the addresses that you've given me and at the moment transportation is an issue, I think I'll look online for some transmitter with the same frequency or try to fix the old transmitter
@chosen2k it doesn't have a name, my brother bought it from china when he was there, and from the first trial bumped it into a wall so the blades broke, and i had no time to fix it until now. I was looking for parts online and i think i found it this is it:

In the link the heli is 3CH. I think not worth the time and effort.

If you're a beginner the V911 would be perfect (and cheap) and has plenty of spare parts.

Go for the Blue package.

Last time I got 4 of these and my package was stopped at the airport and needed clearance. Not sure if 1 would pass.
I already have it, i'm trying to fix it to fill up my spare time, for amusement i've ordered a mini quadcopter , the cheerson cx10 if you've heard of it, it looks fun, and where i live requires an indoor flyer, i don't have access to open areas ( that's why the helicopter broke in the first place :) )
