Yo guys,
I was thinking of getting a 980ti instead of the 2 970's and probably SLI later on. I will be getting a 1440p monitor soon, any suggestions?
Thanks!

-GeForce GTX 980 Ti has 2816 CUDA cores and 6GB GDDR5 Hynix memory across a 384-bit interface. The card is a new part in the GM200 family (GM 200-310), given its DeviceID of 17C8. As expected, the ROP count is at 96 and the card features 176 texture units. The base/boost clocks are at 1000/1076 MHz, respectively. Meanwhile, the default memory clock is at 1753 MHz, although it should likely go up to 1900 or 2000 MHz, depending on the mileage of the sample.
-Compared to the Nvidia GTX Titan X, the GTX 980 Ti is clocked lower (1000/1076 vs 1000/1089 MHz), although the memory clock remains the same (7 GHz). the GTX 980 Ti OC Version offers performance in the same ballpark as the GTX Titan X or at worst 5- 7% lower.
The card is likely to be sold for 650 -700 USD (depending on the OC amount and customized PCB customization from Key Brands such as MSI , ECGA, Asus, Gigabyte. Expect a Price here in Lebanon in the 800 -850 USD with VAT + Taxes /Customs + Shop Profit Margin- Upon Release and on to at least 3-4 months after release.
The GeForce GTX 970 remains a good GPU for full-HD or QHD gaming even with the recent 'Memorygate' issue fresh in enthusiasts' minds. A decent dollop of extra performance isn't compromised by stuttery gaming in the main, and two GTX 970 throughput is better than a single Titan X. Titan X >= 980Ti - Therefore Two 970s in SLI >= 980 Ti
