hi, does anyone know a way to copy the Mortal kombat X files into steam (from a DVD i bought) and by that bypassing the 30gb of download ?

i tried several ways but non seem to work, any help is appreciated :)
What do you mean by you tried several ways?
Once you start downloading, like 10mb max, go to the folder directory and replace the folder by the files you ripped from the DVD.
And as far as i know, that should work.
Although it might download a few Gigs of files, since not all releases end up being the same as the original steam release, but eventually you will download 2-3 gigs and not 30.
but where do i place them, in the common folder ? because that didn't work and it continued to download (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common)

also i steam there is this file called downloading where the game files are being downloaded, but placing them there didn't work either
Did anyone play it online? is it good? should I get it? and if I do get it, anyone to give me the 30GB? :D
I dont exactly know the exact specific folder to be honest.
I dont have steam currently installed (in fact i dont have any games in steam either).
But i have tried it once with the account of a friend, and it worked.

Are you pausing the download and exiting steam completely before copying the files?
yes i am, i have no idea why its not working, other games used to work with no problems

@alibassam: definitely get it its amazing and only 16$
Hey guys anyone can give me the game files?
@chassis you need to get the appmanifest file and place it inside the common folder, this file will tell steam that you have the game installed, you need to google around to see if someone uploaded it
